The bioscience sector is undergoing two strong trends-

Firstly, the shift to open innovation, creating new partnerships and featuring new models of collaboration including open data initiatives, open innovation challenges and crowdsourcing.  Secondly, the rise of technology  convergence: a union of scientific disciplines as diverse as engineering and physiology, or neuroscience and digital, driving healthcare into new territories such as regenerative medicine and bioelectronics.
